A little more about Renee
Renee obtained a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology] degree from Crandall University in 2011 and a Juris Doctor from Université de Moncton in 2012. She was called to the Bar in 2013 after the successful completion of her articles.
Renee Fougere is currently a member of the Law Society of The Northwest Territories and the Canadian Bar Association. She operates her own law practice in the NWT.
Prior to practicing law, Renee had a career in natural health and wellness, she was a naturopath specializing in psychosomatic issues, counselling clients to wellness and optimum health since 2002. During this time, she also worked as a Professional Speaker and was a member of the Canadian Association of Public Speakers in 2006. In 2009-2010, she did pro bono work with the Elizabeth Fry Association.
Renee worked with the Department of Health and Social Services in Cambridge Bay, Nunavut in 2008 before heading back to school to begin her journey towards her law degree.
Renee has been involved with the New Brunswick Association of Employee Assistance Programs since 2002. She is currently on the board of directors representing the Moncton region.
Renee is fully fluent in French and English. Her hobbies include sailing, kayaking, cross-country and downhill skiing, hiking and pottery.
Renee is a caring and compassionate person, always willing to lend a hand to a person in need. She is dedicated and works hard to achieve her goals. She is very motivated and works diligently to complete the task at hand. She has a strong character and is not afraid to stand up for what she believes in.
